IIID - An Introduction
Institute of Indian Interior Designers, popularly called I.I.I.D; was founded in 1972 to establish good professional & trade practices and ethics amongst its members and to highlight and enhance the image of the Interior Design Profession and exchange know‐how with similar organizations within the country & abroad. IIID is a member of APSDA : Asia Pacific Space Designers Alliance.
Today, with over 8,000 members in 31 chapters & centres across India, IIID is true representative of the Interior Design fraternity within the country as well as globally. IIID has well defined aims and objectives towards fulfilment of its duties towards the fraternity & profession and society at large.
50 years of IIID
This being the 50th Year of IIID, Chairman ID Hasmukh Shah envisioned celebrating the Golden Jubilee Year through unique & innovative initiatives.
The aim of the association was to know about the latest in Home Automation, Video Conferencing, e-Learning, Lighting & Climate control Technologies etc.
Sanjay Puri Event
IIID, Mumbai have planned series of Events with Master Achievers to celebrate Design in it's 50th year.
IIID planned a great event showcasing the works of Master Architect Sanjay Puri and celebrating his achievements of winning international awards and making our nation proud. The event was planned with two sessions on 31.03.2023 at MCA Club BKC Bandra, from 7pm onwards.
The first session was with final year Students of Interior Design and Architecture. at 5 pm. Near 100 students and college faculty participated in event. Sanjay Puri presentation was well received by the students. His story of Faliures and Success was a good lesson for students. He also autographed his project Sketches for every students. Students, college faculty and IIID Managing Committee gave a standing ovation.
The second session that is, the main event started around 7.30 pm. All stalwarts from Design faternity were present. Cocktails were served from the beginning. This session was very Informal and Sanjay Puri was talking and Chatting with all the Invitees. Rajesh Modak our Committee member was the host for the evening. Chairman Hasmukh Shah welcomed the guest and spoke about IIID journey of 50 years.
